The epicenter of the summer surf scene, Costa Azul is a mecca for beer, burgers and good waves. Zipper's Restaurant is the ultimate seaside hangout, while Zippers offshore is an expert-level reef on the right. His two other breaks, Beginner Medium and The Hard Rock, also attract local and tourist surfers. Plenty of sun and sand too, he is one of the best walking beaches in Los Cabos. There are two breaks to the south. The Rock and Old Mans. The Rock is great for intermediate surfers and the second (also known as Acapulquito Beach) is great for beginners or longboarders. In winter when the waves are calm, you can swim and snorkel here. Hiking, rock fishing and horseback riding are available all year round. Across the bridge is Costa Azul Creek, with stables and a zipline canopy adventure tour across the canyon. Beginning at El Mirador and past the Cabo Surf Hotel on Km 28, the beach extends one mile east to a creek adjacent to the former La Brisa trailer park and restaurant. East of the old trailer park is a new beach club under construction for the Club Campestre development across the street.
