There is a cliff at the west end of the coast, and the crescent-shaped coast faces the sea. This is a popular surfing spot, as evidenced by the many beach tents near the water with surfboards outside.The campground is no longer on the east side of the beach. Swimming is also relatively safe here. Cerritos Beach Club Restaurant is currently open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Costa Azul Surf Shop is also located in Los Cerritos. June 1, 2008 - The environment begins to evolve. There are plans for oceanfront condominiums along this beach
